Secrets Silversands Rivera Cancun.

Ole! ... One of the many shows at the resort.

Not me, but maybe next time ...

Pancho, mi amigo.

Lots of seaweed, but really, who's complaining?

It's no secret that it's been a tough adjustment for us -- moving from L.A. to Nashville. The fact that it appears to be about 30 degrees outside at all times these days has just been salt in the wound.

The first time we visited L.A. before we decided to move there, it was December. We tooled around town in a Jeep with the windows rolled down. ... If we attempted that here, now, our hands and noses might fall off.

So, imagine our glee that our broke asses had the foresight to pre-pay (back when we weren't broke) for an all-inclusive trip to Mexico for our belated honeymoon.

The resort is a new one in the environs of Cancun -- Secrets Silversands -- hence, we got a great opening-special rate. We left Thanksgiving morning and had five amazing days and four amazing nights -- relaxing and soaking up the warm sun.
